2006-2007 Season
Twelfth Night
By: William Shakespeare
It's Shakespeare - jazzed up. Join in the antics at Illyria, a jazz club in New Orleans run by the melodramatic Olivia (Kayla Gillaspy). Love triangles abound when twins Viola and Sebastian (Briana Chambers and Sean Sullivan) wash up on the shores of Louisiana, their cruise ship having sunk in the Gulf, and neither knowing that the other has survived! Viola, frightened to be a lonely girl in the city of Jazz, dresses up like her brother and renames herself Cesario. When she runs into the wealthy and popular Duke Orsino (Nathan Gillaspy), it's love at first sight - except that he thinks she's a boy! Wanting to see her (him?) again, Orsino hires Viola to woo the reclusive Olivia in his place. Viola accepts the job, knowing that it'll give her a chance to spend more time with Orsino - and maybe change his mind about who he'll ask to marry!
Meanwhile, at the club, the relationship between the band's cynical headliner, Feste (Dakota Kistner) and Illyria's fiesty cocktail waitress Maria (Shelby Miller) is tested by the romantic interference of Olivia's drunk uncle Sir Toby (Cory Hartmann) and the meanspirited attacks of the bouncer Malvolio (TJ Burleson). When Malvolio steps over the line, however, Sir Toby, his friend Sir Andrew (Romeo Joy), trumpet player Fabian (Loren Blomberg), and Maria decide to take revenge to the next level, and set a practical joke in Malvolio's path designed to make him lose his job and his reputation.
Also featuring: Kayla Badillo, Jennifer Brown, Chante Craig, Jesse Day, and Carice Dukes on cast and Alex Hinton, Sheyann Gadberry, and Sarah Piccirello on crew.

The Woman in Black
By: Stephen Mallatratt, based on the novel by Susan Hill
As a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps was sent to Eel Marsh House in the middle of nowhere England to settle the estate of a crazy old widow. What he encountered there out on the marshes, however, was more than a quaint town and empty mansion. After years of silence, he wishes to tell his family and friends a real ghost story - his ghost story.
Kipps hires a skeptical actor to help excorcise his ghost with the telling, and is surprised when the actor insists that instead of reading the story, they turn it into a play. Since Kipps lacks a talent for theatrical performance, the actor suggests that they trade roles - the actor will play the role of Kipps, and Kipps will play the other characters in his story. As rehearsals progress, the actor finds himself drawn deeper into the world of Eel Marsh House and the evil Woman in Black. But he does not believe in ghosts. And even if he did, how could a ghost from so long ago come back to haunt him now?

Burleson) under the instruction of her Russian ballet coach, Boris Kolenkhov (Dakota Kistner). But when the straight-laced youngest daugther Alice, (Briana Chambers) falls in love with Tony Kirby (Nathan Gillaspy), the son of her wealthy and image-conscious boss, she knows that it will never work because the families could never EVER get along. The Crucible
Arthur Miller's classic tale of the Salem Witch Trials revolves around the fictional love story between a farmer, John Proctor (Dakota Kistner), and Abigail Williams (Sara Nagle), the leader of the accusers. After commiting the crime of adultery, John cannot find forgiveness from his wife, Elizabeth (Kayla Gillaspy), or from himself. Meanwhile, in town, the Reverent Parris' (Alan Jones) daughter shows signs of witchcraft, a local witch "expert" is called in (Cory Hartmann), and Abigail decides that accusing Elizabeth may be the perfect way of getting John back for good.

The Servant of Two Masters
The wild and wacky servant Truffaldino (Thomas Southworth) has been out of work and out of dinner for far too long, so when the opportunity presents itself for double the wages, double the food, and double the work, he jumps at it! Trouble is, he must now keep his two masters - separated lovers searching desparately for each other - from noticing that they are staying in the same inn. Not as hard as it sounds, seeing as master number one, Beatrice (Kayla Gillaspy) has arrived disguised as her dead brother Federigo, and master number two, Florindo (Matt Calhoun) is on the run from the law for killing that same Federigo.
Meanwhile, Federigo's fiance Clarice (Jewelia Guynes) is re-betrothed to her true love, the sword happy Silvio (Nathan Argall). But when Pantalone (Dakota Kistner), Clarice's miserly father, is led to believe that the far wealthier Federigo is still alive, he re-re-betroths her to the woman dressed as a man.
